bolsa de fotografia zum 2018
The central piece of the visual identity developed to promote the 2018 ZUM/IMS Photography Grant–sponsored by the contemporary photography magazine of the Instituto Moreira Salles–this modular typographic poster features texts arranged in varying scales. The typographic solution, which explores variations in the width and size of the letters, makes a direct reference to the “zoom” effect: the visual approach and distancing achieved by adjusting a camera’s focal length.
A grid of perforated lines was applied to the original 88 × 61 cm (35” × 24”) poster, allowing it to be separated into pieces of different formats, ranging from smaller posters to 15 × 10 cm (6” × 4”) postcards. On each module, the information was repeated in different arrangements, ensuring that all pieces, regardless of size, carried the same content.
The visual identity was further expanded into digital media, including social media posts and a short film trailer for movie theater screenings.
