The book brings together words, sentences, photographs, and sculptures that were part of the artist Juliana Stein’s exhibition at the Museu Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba, held from September 2017 to June 2018. The show presented written and visual formulations, proposing shifts that blur the boundaries between image and text.

This dynamic, created within the exhibition space, is carried over into the book through graphic design elements: the French binding with perforations along the folds creates “open-closed pages,” while the use of varnish defines the artwork’s area, making it stand out against the white background.

In the first reading, the viewer is invited to focus on the graphic aspect of the works; in a second moment, by opening the perforated pages, the artworks are placed within the exhibition environment, revealed through a photographic essay produced especially for this publication.
